Manor Garage Doors’ new website is live
A good reputation takes years to build. Your website should help people see it.
That was the starting point for our work with Manor Garage Doors, a family-run business supplying, installing, repairing and automating garage doors across Harlow, Bishop’s Stortford, Sawbridgeworth, Epping, Ware and the surrounding area.
With more than 20 years of experience and a 5.0 Google rating from 241 reviews, they already had something a new website couldn’t create for them: a reputation earned through the work they do for their customers.
We’re pleased to share the launch of their new website, built to bring that reputation into focus and make it easier for visitors to take the next step.
Building on what was already working
This wasn’t a project where everything needed to start from scratch.
Manor Garage Doors already had a strong presence on Google Maps, helping local people find the business. The opportunity was to improve what happened next.
When someone clicked through to the old website, the services and areas covered weren’t immediately clear. Customer reviews were tucked away behind a small text link, and a single quote button was easy to overlook.
The new website puts the important information where visitors can find it: what Manor does, where the team works, why customers recommend them and how to get in touch.
It’s not about making the business look like something it isn’t. It’s about making sure the website reflects the business it already is.
A new door or a repair? Two clear starting points
Someone planning a new garage door has different questions from someone whose existing door has stopped working.
One might want to explore styles, look through previous installations and ask about pricing. The other may simply need to speak to someone about a repair.
Rather than sending everyone towards the same button, the new site offers two clear choices: “Get a Free Quote” and “I Need a Repair”.
Click-to-call phone numbers make it straightforward to ring the team, while a short, three-field contact form gives people another way to enquire without a lengthy questionnaire.
Reviews, guarantees and clear pricing information sit alongside these next steps, helping visitors make a more informed decision.
Local information, not just a list of towns
The new website also gives Manor’s services more room to explain themselves.
Dedicated pages for new garage doors, repairs and servicing help visitors find information relevant to the job they need doing. Behind the scenes, we’ve put local search foundations in place to help search engines understand the business, its services and the areas it covers.
Completed installations have their own project pages, with location details where relevant. These give prospective customers a chance to see real examples of Manor’s work, including installations in nearby towns.
For a local business, that’s useful content: not simply saying “we work in your area”, but showing the work.
Ready for the next completed job
A website launch shouldn’t mean the content is finished forever.
We built the site with a straightforward content management system called Sanity, so the Manor team can add installations to the gallery and publish articles themselves.
As they photograph and share completed jobs, the website can build up a fuller picture of their work. Each published project adds another example for future customers to explore.
That gives the team a practical way to keep the site relevant as the business continues doing what it does best.
A fresh design with a practical purpose
The new website looks different, but the purpose goes beyond its appearance.
It’s designed to help people understand the services, see the evidence behind Manor’s reputation and find the right way to enquire.
For other local businesses, there’s a useful question here. Getting found online matters, but what happens after someone finds you? Does your website make the next step clear, or leave visitors to work it out?
That’s the kind of detail we focus on at Uncommon Web: building websites around the business and the people who need to use them.
