Ware is an old working town and it still behaves like one. The High Street has buildings going back to the fourteenth century, with passageways between the shops that once led to coaching stables and former maltings — malt went down through narrow streets like Star Street and Kibes Lane to the barges on the river. The gazebos along the north bank of the Lee Navigation are the picture-postcard bit. Amwell End runs down towards the station. And the town's largest employer is GlaxoSmithKline, with manufacturing and research on site, which supports a long tail of contractors and suppliers around it.

None of that is glamorous and none of it needs to be. What these businesses need is to be findable, credible and easy to contact — a site that says clearly what you do and where you do it, loads quickly, and does not look like it was last touched during a different decade. That is a lower bar than most agencies want to sell you, and clearing it properly is worth more here than anything decorative.
